Tonight marks the first night for my TMCC Epic Fall Botanicals course. I love these long format course because they let me really deep dive on the tools & techniques I use to create my watercolor botanicals. I also toe dip into the woo woo aspects I love about watercolor, how it’s such a meditative practice requiring us to surrender to the how the pigment wants to flow, while simultaneously using our practice to cultivate the details we want through self editing, refinement & layering.

Of course we always get into a lot of these aspects in my short format workshops, but having a committed four week practice really helps launch students into a dedicated creative block of time, and I’ve seen so many students make tremendous strides in their work, as well as many just having a great time!
